Breast Enlargement Plastic Surgery in Riverside, California

Have you always wanted larger, fuller breasts? If you are like many women, you may feel that your breasts are disproportionately small and out of balance with the rest of your body. Or maybe your breasts are slightly different sizes, creating a noticeable asymmetry. You can't control your genetics, but you can change your appearance through breast enlargement surgery.

Riverside plastic surgeon Dr. Childers will listen to your concerns and your hopes. He will discuss with you the various surgical options and the different implant types, shapes, and sizes now available. And since the FDA's recent approval of silicone gel implants, you are fortunate to have a choice between silicone and saline breast implants. After the surgery is done, your only complaint will be that you didn't have breast enlargement sooner. If you're like most women, you will feel more self-confident, sexier, and more attractive than ever before.

Breast Enlargement Plastic Surgery Procedure Information

Breast enlargement is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. A small incision is made under the breast or along the periareolar (nipple) and a silicone or saline implant is inserted under the breast tissue or under the breast tissue and the underlying muscle.

After Breast Implant Plastic Surgery

You will go home in an elastic bra which helps hold the breasts in the correct position. Initial discomfort is controlled with oral medication, and sutures are usually removed in 7 to 12 days. Light activities can be resumed as tolerated, and aerobic activities can be started in about 3 weeks. Moving or sliding the implants within the breast pockets during the postoperative period may reduce the possibility of capsular contracture.

Complementary Plastic Surgery Procedures

An additional procedure that would enhance the results of a breast augmentation is a Breast Lift if the breasts are also saggy, a condition that is common after pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss, or a result of the aging process.

Breast enlargement is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance.

The specific risks and the suitability of breast enlargement can be determined only during your free consultation with Inland Empire plastic surgeon Dr. Childers. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk, but major complications are unusual.
