After a facelift, patients go home to recover can expect a recovery time of between ten and fourteen days. The dressings are removed the next day and the sutures are removed 14 days after the surgery. Swelling and bruising begins to minimize from ten to twenty days after the procedure. The improvements can begin to be seen in four to size weeks and will further improve in the months that follow. Oral medication is prescribed by the surgeon for discomfort.
